Lovingly transformed by the Ferragamo family into a luxurious Tuscan retreat, the fabulous Il Borro is a member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux collection. Set in the heart of Tuscany, it is part of a 700-acre estate surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Wine and olive oil are produced here using traditional methods and are an integral part of the region's landscape. You know you have arrived in your Tuscan dream from the moment you drive through the gates onto the majestic driveway surrounded by rolling greenery and horse stables. The small village of Il Borro is an experience in itself. Wander the narrow streets, chat with local artisans, relax with treatments at the Il Borro Spa or enjoy traditional Tuscan cuisine at the Osteria del Borro. Villa Storia, with its private garden, is situated in the heart of the village. The large, elegant villa dominates the entire medieval village. Built in 1845 by the Hohenlohe Waldenburgs, it was sold to Duke Amadeo d'Aosta at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1993, Ferruccio Ferragamo bought the estate and carefully restored it. The extensive restoration has restored the property to its former glory, highlighting the original materials and architectural style.
There are 10 luxurious bedrooms and a variety of features to ensure a high level of relaxation and enjoyment. Guests have access to a magnificent outdoor pool under shady trees, a spa with heated indoor pool, sauna and gym, billiards room, study and even a conference room. The villa's resident staff are on hand at all times to ensure an exclusive and personalised service.
