The island offers different natural landscapes with a rocky north side quite a surreal lunar landscape and a southwest with lush Mediterranean vegetation and the finest olive groves. The coast is cut by small bays with sandy and pebble beaches, with a blue and turquoise sea. Pag is also known for the unique handmade sheep cheese, Paski Sir, and the ancient folklore lace, which is still used today for clothes, shoes, and home textiles.
