For its cultural and natural beauty, this southern region of Tuscany, Val d'Orcia, has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is here that many of the iconic Tuscan images of rolling hills and picturesque rows of cypress trees are shot. This magnificent natural landscape stretches south of Siena and is known for its cultivated hills and the clay-coloured craters of the Crete Senesi. Val d'Orcia was efficiently and beautifully shaped by the merchants of Siena in the 14th and 15th centuries. The roads, houses and hills were planted with cypresses and the vineyards were decorated with roses. The result can still be seen today and provides a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing holiday.
Villa di Roseto is located in a beautiful natural setting, 10 km from Sarteano and 20 minutes from Pienza. The property extends over 2.2 hectares of terraced meadows with views of Monte Amiata on one side and the Val d'Orcia valley on the other. Enjoy the privacy and literally paradisiacal setting in the beautiful garden with several seating areas, a 300 year old oak tree, a rose collection of 40 varieties, vegetables, herbs and a variety of fruit trees - apple, pear, cherry, apricot, fig. The 16 metre swimming pool is surrounded by sun loungers and a gazebo where you can cool off and enjoy the magnificent views.
The original farmhouse dates back to the 18th century. The buildings have been completely modernised while retaining the original façade. A stylish combination of antique and modern furniture and a unique collection of modern art give the villa a special atmosphere.
