Climate and Best Time to Visit Paros

Paros enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The best time to visit is from May to October. While the summer months are ideal for beach days and water sports, spring and autumn offer more moderate temperatures—perfect for hiking and cultural exploration. A gentle sea breeze keeps even the warmest days comfortable, and sunsets on Paros are truly memorable.

During the summer, the Meltemi wind sets in after a calm May, gradually strengthening through June and often becoming a steady afternoon breeze in July and August. These northern winds help to temper the heat, making the climate particularly pleasant.

These conditions are especially appreciated by windsurfers and sailors. From mid-April onwards, daytime temperatures regularly exceed 20°C, with clear skies and abundant sunshine. By June, average daytime temperatures rise to around 26°C and above. The Aegean Sea reaches inviting water temperatures between 22°C and 25°C from early June through to the end of October.
